Programme Overview
 
 
The programme seeks to produce knowledgeable and competent development professional who are ethically and socially responsible. Students are trained with skills to address development issues and challenges from the perspectives of the global context. Among others, the core areas given emphasis in this programme are globalization and development, poverty and distribution, sustainable development, environmental management and entrepreneurship. The multidisciplinary approach of the programme also allows exploration of other relevant fields in development including public, economic and social policy, civil society, politics and community development. A heavy component of this programme is on research in a chosen specialized area within development studies, with the aim of training students to be effective analyst and developing their skills for problem solving with scientific approach.
