|
Application for BSP is open to all qualified candidates who fulfill the established criteria irrespective of whether the candidate is a student/graduate of UM or other universities.
The age of the candidate must not exceed 35 years at the time of application.
The qualified candidate may apply for the BSP through one of the following pathways:
- A candidate who has completed his/her Bachelor’s degree with distinction.
- A candidate who is currently pursuing a PhD or has recently completed his/her Master's degree and has published in high quality ISI journals.
- A post PhD candidate (internal or external) who has published in high quality ISI journals.

MALAYSIAN TECHNICAL COOPERATION PROGRAMME (MTCP)
|
- The MTCP Scholarship Award provides opportunities for students to pursue advanced academic study in Malaysia.
- This scholarship is a Government-to Government scheme without any bond imposed by Malaysia. Scholarships are intended for promising men and women who may be expected to make a significant contribution to their own countries on their return from study abroad.
- The Malaysian Government offers up to 40 MTCP Scholarships each year.
- The scholarship are available for post-graduate studies at Masters and Ph.D level tenable at any Malaysian public university, and are available to citizens of the MTCP participating countries.
- The duration of the award is 36 to 42 months for Ph.D and between 12 to 24 months for Masters programme.
